We began our partnership with Northwest Florida State College as a teaching facility in 2012. Our teaching clinics house second-year radiography students at our Fort Walton Beach and Destin locations, and students rotate two to three times per week.
In the last three years, the program has had a 100% pass rate on tests for first-attempt students. We have thus far employed five students after graduation and licensee certification to advocate for local students and our patients and promote employment growth in our small community.
This educational partnership has allowed us to employ our facilities and qualified staff to help further the highest standards in medical education for the benefit of students, patients, and providers now and in the future.
What are some of the tasks the students do while at the office?
Under the supervision of a preceptor, students are provided with instruction in radiographic procedures and anatomy, critical thinking, and medical and radiographic terminology.
