Dr. Nicholas Pilla is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand surgeon who specializes in the comprehensive management of hand and upper extremity conditions. He believes that strong doctor–patient relationships are the cornerstone of successful outcomes, taking the time to listen, educate, and involve each individual in their care. By combining rigorous scientific standards with personalized treatment planning, Dr. Pilla delivers tailored solutions that help patients regain function and return to the activities they cherish.
Dr. Pilla completed his medical training at Penn State College of Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), the medical honor society, and was honored with the Edwards P. Schenkar Award at Penn State for his commitment to orthopaedics. During his residency at Penn State Health, he was selected to serve as the resident representative for the American Orthopaedic Associations' (AOA) C. McCollister Evarts Resident Leadership Forum and received multiple medical student teaching awards. As a dedicated researcher, Dr. Pilla has authored multiple clinical and biomechanical publications and presented his work at national conferences.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Pilla enjoys spending time with his wife, staying active outdoors, and lifting weights.
