My Comeback Story: Elaine S.

A year ago, on October 24, I would never have thought I would be pain-free with my back being a grade 3 lumbar spondyloslisthesis. I’ll never forget the helplessness and frustration of not being able to move freely or do simple things without pain, chronic, debilitating pain – the kind that changes you. For at least 10 years I “put up” with the pain. Until finally, no other treatment was working and the final option was surgery. It was the best choice I ever made. Here I am a year out and I am so humbled and grateful to be pain-free. I have forgotten what it was like. I am able to enjoy the things I’ve loved without being in pain or without hampering those that are around me because of that pain. I love being outdoors. I love enjoying life again, a great quality of life. I thank God every day and I thank God for Dr. Landry and his team. Orthopedic Associates has a great group of doctors.
