My Comeback Story: Elaine S.

A year ago, on October 24, I never would have believed I'd be living without pain—especially with a grade 3 lumbar spondyloslisthesis. I’ll never forget the helplessness and frustration of not being able to move freely or do simple things without chronic, debilitating pain. It was the kind that changes you. 

For at least 10 years I “put up” it. I tried everything, but nothing worked. Eventually, surgery became the final option—and choosing it was the best choice I ever made. 

Now, one year later, I'm humbled and deeply grateful to be pain-free. I have forgotten what it was like. Today, I can enjoy the things I love, especially being outdoors, without worrying  about slowing down the people around me. My quality of life has been restored in a way I never imagined. 

I thank God every day, I am profoundly grateful for Dr. Landry and his team. Orthopaedic Associates truly has an excopetiong group of doctors.
