My Comeback Story: Jim I.

After 9 months of medications and physical therapy directives, I was being led by another physician to consider back surgery to relieve my pain. I decided to visit Dr. Cook at Orthopaedic Associates for a second opinion, where he simply says “it’s not your back” it’s your hip. Dr. Cook referred me to their hip specialist, Dr. Jacob Hawkins. After an initial consultation, Dr. Hawkins said I needed a new hip because it’s bone-on-bone. I was so nervous to even consider this major surgery, but Dr. Hawkins assured me this would alleviate all my pain. What a great decision it was. Dr. Hawkins and the staff are amazing and treated me like I was the most important patient. His praying with me in pre-op to calm my nerves literally had me tearing up.
