Dr. Tenholder graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He then completed an orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Tenholder concluded his training with an orthopaedic joint replacement and sports fellowship at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York, New York. He joined Orthopaedic Associates in August 2004, immediately out of fellowship, and remains the longest-tenured surgeon with the group. He was instrumental in bringing patient-specific procedures, computer navigation, and robotically assisted surgeries to the area.

In his free time, Dr. Tenholder enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and the family dog, golfing, boating, fishing, attending sporting events, and in general spending time outdoors. 

Dr. Tenholder is available to see patients at our locations in Fort Walton Beach, Destin, and Crestview.
