Appointments:

Appointments for the Fort Walton Beach, Destin and Niceville may be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at the Fort Walton Beach Office. Receptionists are available during those times to make appointments, give information and refer you to our Business Office for insurance questions and problems.

Our phones are answered by our Answering Service between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in order to follow up on requests from the morning hours. However, the office is still open during these times.

When making appointments, please specify in which office you wish to be seen. You may also e-mail appointment requests to us at sportsmed@orthoassociates.net. To maximize the benefits of your first visit, we ask you to bring any X-Rays/MRI's you have with you to your visit.

Prescriptions:

We do not prescribe new medications without examining you. Refills of certain medications will be handled over the phone only during business hours and if you are under continuing care. All written prescriptions for medications will be picked up from our office by the patient or other authorized person. Prescriptions will not be sent through the mail.

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF MEDICINE TO CALL. IT NORMALLY TAKES 48 BUSINESS HOURS FOR YOUR REQUEST TO BE PROCESSED, AS OUR DOCTORS ARE NOT ALWAYS IN THE OFFICE.

Emergencies:

Our emergency number is 850-863-2153. It is answered 24 hours a day either by the office staff or the answering service. They will give a message to your doctor or the doctor "on call." We will make every effort to care for your problem promptly either in the office or at the Emergency Room. If you are treated at the Emergency Room at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, Twin Cities Hospital, Eglin Hospital, or Sacred Heart Hospital Emergency Care, please request that we be called.

Surgery Scheduling:

Any questions regarding the scheduling of surgeries should be directed to Sherry Moyse. (Surgery Scheduler). She can be contacted at 850-862-7403 ext. 202.         Fax: 850-862-2423.

Billing:

You are expected to pay for your portion of the office visits the day of service. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Our receptionist has a copy of our office charges and will be glad to answer any questions you may have before your examination. Insurance:

We are contracted with most major insurance plans. Our Business Office is happy to bill your primary and secondary insurance for you. If you have any questions regarding your insurance, please contact our Insurance Specialist at 850-315-9212. If you do not have insurance, please contact our Payment Account Representative at 850-315-9211 to set up payment arrangements.
